Let's Talk BADGES!
Extrinsic motivation leads to intrinsic motivation... In other words, kids love badges and they WORK!
Instant Gratification Badges
Instant (or short term) gratification badges can be broken down into a simple concept: I see, I do, I earn.
These badges should be very straightforward and perhaps even changing every class!

Delayed Gratification Badges
These badges are all about GOAL SETTING and mastering benchmarks in a curriculum. Great programs will create targets in their learning journey with things like drill progressions, skill acquisition, and even maturity or character development.

When benchmarks are mapped out, with simple and clear mastery points, participants can efficiently be evaluated and earn BADGES that move them through your program. This is called PROGRAM MOBILITY.
Creating a fun focused program mobility map will keep kids energized and motivated while also helping parents understand "what kids are learning in class".
EXAMPLE of Mobility:
KARATE BELTS
